About Me
My name is Dr. Axel Weber, M.D., and I am a specialist in orthopedics and trauma surgery.
Born in the Swabian region of Germany, I grew up in a family of medical and educational professionals. My path was shaped early on by my father, a dedicated physician, and my mother, a teacher who instilled in me the values of education, responsibility, and compassion. In this meaningful environment, the desire to pursue a helping profession developed naturally – becoming my inner compass from a young age. It was always clear to me: I wanted to become a doctor.
My medical journey began in Wuppertal and continued through my studies in Frankfurt and Bochum, followed by clinical training at various hospitals across Germany. Each stage broadened my perspective – both medically and personally. A particularly formative experience was my role as senior orthopedic consultant in Niebüll, where I deepened my expertise and placed great value on teamwork and close patient relationships.
My Philosophy
For me, the person always comes first – not just the musculoskeletal system. I combine medical expertise with personal attention. This is especially true in my specialty, shoulder orthopedics, where the complexity of the joint often reflects the complexity of the symptoms.
My goal is to work with my patients to find individual solutions – evidence-based, practical, and sustainable. I place great importance on precise diagnostics, honest advice, and a partnership-based approach. Because good medicine can only emerge through collaboration – with experience, empathy, and a focus on each patient’s daily life.
I believe healing is more than just technique. It begins with a careful look, an honest conversation, and the decision to truly connect with the person in front of me. That’s why I take time – for open dialogue, thorough examinations, and clear assessments.
Many of my patients appreciate my calm manner, clarity, and objectivity – and the fact that I see the whole person, not just their symptoms.
After more than two decades in hospital medicine, I made a conscious decision to take a new path. Today, I work independently – with more freedom, more closeness, and more time for my patients. Since autumn 2024, I’ve been living with my wife, our son, and our three large dogs in the Málaga region. Surrounded by nature, open space, and the sea, I find the peace and clarity I need to be fully present for others.
I look forward to accompanying you on your journey – with expertise, life experience, and genuine attentiveness.
